We were able to participate in this field renovation by installing new sod for the 2018 season.
Sod care
Days 0-21

Water each area 3-4 times daily for 20 minutes each watering.

It is important for water to saturate the sod and into the soil below the sod.

Check the edges of the sod by pulling back the corners to ensure the soil is moist.
Days 21-42

Water each area 1-2 times daily for 30 minutes each watering.

Continue to check the edges of the sod by pulling back the corners to ensure the soil is moist below.,

Sod should be establishing a root system and will need to be mowed.

Make sure mower blades are sharp and keep mower rack at highest setting.

Riding lawnmowers NOT recommended.

Contact a lawn care professional for information on treating your lawn during this period.

Days 42+

Water approximately twice a week.

Make sure to apply at least 1" of water per week.

Sod should be well rooted and be able to withstand normal wear.

Continue mowing as needed at a height no less than 3".
